Why I Built CoursesMag

Choosing an online course shouldn’t be based on marketing claims, popularity, or a five-star rating alone.

I built CoursesMag because I found many existing course lists and reviews to be more promotional than genuinely helpful. Too often, they seemed focused on presenting courses rather than honestly answering the questions learners actually have: Is this course worth my time? What will I really learn? Is it practical? And is it worth the money?

With 8 years of experience in SEO and digital marketing, I wanted to create a more practical and transparent approach to course research. I research and compare each course based on its curriculum, practical learning, teaching quality, value for money, and career relevance. I also draw on my own experience with the courses I have taken and studied, alongside independent research and community feedback.

The goal is simple: to help learners make informed decisions based on what a course actually offers, not just how well it is marketed.
